About The Position

We are seeking a Part-time/Temporary Administrative Coordinator for 15 hours/week with strong skills and experience in supporting the administrative functions of a program, particularly in a virtual environment. This position will be supporting the CT Registered Apprenticeship Program which runs a professional development pathway program for up to 50 Family Child Care Educators per year. This position is for 15 hours per week from the start date through December 31, 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative workforce development model supporting women and BIPOC workers in the early childhood education sector. The successful candidate will be part of the ESF Northeast Regional Team, working remotely in a supportive and justice-driven environment. Requirements

  • Is able to work some evenings and weekends and travel occasionally within the state
  • Is flexible, comfortable working independently and is a sophisticated collaborator
  • Exceptional judgment, interpersonal, and communications skills and ability to manage up
  • Has excellent organization and communication skills; demonstrated initiative,creativity, humility, and empathy
  • Digitally fluent and comfortable using technology tools including Google Suite, SurveyMonkey, and Slack in a professional environment.
  • Experience working with diverse communities including those that have been historically marginalized or excluded, such as women of color, immigrants, low-income individuals, non-English speakers, and ESL populations.
  • Impeccable organization skills, including the ability to organize documents, processes, and timelines with great detail
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English required (verbal and written)
  • Two plus years experience coordinating projects and programs from inception to completion with attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
  • Digital fluency with Google Suite required, including organizing and managing a high volume of shared documents and folders across a team.
  • Experience in data entry and data management required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in or knowledge of early childhood education (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Support the outreach and recruitment efforts for new cohorts of program participants including drafting and sending outreach emails, sharing application links, and supporting an organized recruitment workflow.
  • Support communications to current and prospective program participants via email, phone, and text, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Support the accurate collection and tracking of data within spreadsheets to support accurate reporting and program tracking.
  • Support the organization of the appropriate files, documents, and folders within Google Drive.
  • Support equitable access to trainings and meetings by coordinating and scheduling translation and interpretation services as necessary.
