About The Position

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Please Note this position supports our 2nd Shift. You will be paid a 10% Pay Premium while working the 2nd Shift from 3:30PM to 2 AM -- 4/10 work week -- Working Monday to Thursday every Friday off. Ensures proper surface masking and preparations, mixing epoxies and solvents to appropriate ratios by weight, volume or viscosity, incorporating a knowledge of scales and weights and how substances interact. Prepares the surfaces of parts, assemblies, and finished products by cleaning, stripping, abrading, sanding, masking and stenciling. Selects and mixes finishing materials: coats and /or touches up product with such materials as paint, acrylic, varnish, enamel, lacquer, and stain using. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control and procedures. Works from blueprints and process sheets to develop finishing processes, applications and techniques where thickness tolerances are critical.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to lift 20-40lbs
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to follow processes and written instructions
