About The Position

HireNow Staffing is partnering with a nationally respected law firm to identify a highly detail-oriented Conflicts Research Analyst to join its conflicts and compliance team in Indianapolis. This position is a key part of the firm's new matter intake and risk management process, ensuring attorneys can move forward confidently with new client engagements while meeting strict ethical and professional responsibility standards. The right candidate will bring prior law firm conflicts experience, excellent research instincts, and a high level of discretion when working with sensitive client and matter information.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of conflicts experience in a mid-to-large law firm environment
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and direct law firm experience
  • Familiarity with legal ethics rules, conflicts standards, and professional responsibility obligations
  • Hands-on experience conducting conflict checks, legal intake reviews, or corporate research
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship now or in the future)
  • Ability to work onsite/hybrid in Indianapolis, IN
  • Comfort with the posted pay range

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Intapp Open or another rule-based conflicts platform
  • Background drafting conflict waivers or ethical screen documentation
  • Experience supporting large-scale database maintenance or record reconciliation initiatives
  • Strong writing skills and ability to present research findings clearly
  • Exposure to multi-office or national law firm environments

Responsibilities

  • Conducting conflict checks using the firms' electronic conflicts platform (Intapp or similar systems)
  • Designing and refining search strategies to identify potential conflicts involving clients, affiliates, adversaries, and related entities
  • Reviewing and summarizing search results for Conflicts Counsel and attorneys, highlighting potential issues and recommended next steps
  • Performing corporate research through online databases to uncover ownership structures, relationships, and business affiliations
  • Drafting key documentation such as engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for internal review
  • Partnering with Conflicts Counsel, Conflicts Attorneys, General Counsel, and administrative teams to support timely conflict resolution
  • Assisting with client and matter record cleanup and reconciliation to ensure database accuracy
  • Providing responsive, professional support to attorneys and legal assistants across multiple practice groups
  • Supporting time-sensitive requests outside regular business hours when needed
