About The Position

DirectHire 2 nd Shift Configuration Technician Direct opportunity Rate: $23-27/hr Hours: 2pm-10:30pm, M-F + OT on Saturdays as needed Cincinnati, OH Responsibilities: - Production of finished products in the configurator department. - Responsible for optimum overall equipment efficiency to meet production targets. - Responsible to keep work area clean. - Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear PPE. - Verify proper machines setups, settings, and necessary adjustments to maintain quality, productivity, and lowest possible amount of scrap. - Execute quality control by conducting random testing of finished rolls. Testing is done in line with quality check procedures to proactively repair/adjust process settings to minimize scrap. - Be proactive regarding any adjustments to prevent scrap and downtime. - Ensure all machine settings and product specs are in line with setup sheets and control plans, respectively. - Complete full changeover including the setup of the machine, checking quality of work, and completing all documents associated with the changeover. - Focus on minimizing downtown while completing all tasks safely. If finished roll does not meet quality standards, immediately get QC Tech/Shift Supervisor. Meantime, keep production running on other configurators. - Communicate maintenance, quality, concerns, and production issues with Shift Supervisor, to ensure corrective action. - Communicate any safety concerns to all leadership and management teams. - Read, understand, and follow control plans to produce product that meets specs (production, scrap, quality). - Communicate with employees from your own and other departments to create a teamwork environment and to ensure that the machine is in top running condition. - All other duties as assigned.
