About The Position

The Windows Imaging expert manages the Operating System Deployment (OSD) lifecycle within Windows Engineering, architecting and maintaining the gold image to ensure a consistent workstation environment. Using task sequence logic, and leveraging PXE for network based imaging, this role manages the technical complexities of the image, and the server infrastructure required to support imaging efforts. The role is also responsible for driver injection, BIOS management, and maintaining regional specific configurations to support the needs of various teams across the globe.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years' experience performing network administration roles/responsibilities
• Bachelor degree, One-and-one- half (1.5) years of additional experience can substitute for one (1) year of a typical degree program.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

• Mastery of the OSD features in MECM to build, capture, and deploy Windows images using task sequence logic
• Knowledge of DISM and other features required to manually edit, and modify existing WIM files
• Expertise in distribution point configuration for imaging, including boundary groups, PXE settings, and network settings such as IP helpers to facilitate network based imaging
• Understanding of driver management and BIOS/UEFI configurations to support a variety of hardware models
• PowerShell and log analysis skills to troubleshoot imaging issues, and build custom solutions inside the task sequence
