About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Configuration Management/Availability Planning Specialist in Virginia Beach, VA. This role will provide critical support for Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) program and for Ship Change Document (SCD) development.

Requirements

  • Must have 5 plus years of experience with CM and Availability Planning.
  • Must have strong understanding of government oversight requirements and industry best practices.
  • Must have the ability to coordinate with multi-site teams and manage complex documentation processes.
  • Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance and meet base access requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • BS Degree, preferred.
  • Understanding the overall process flow of availability planning and scheduling of alteration in NDE, preferred.
  • Model Base Product Support (MBPS) experience, preferred.
  • Work File Change Notices (WFCNs) experience, preferred.
  • Engineering Change Proposal (ECPs) experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiator of various technical change documents
  • Identify the need for SCDs based on changes impacting the form, fit, or function of TSCE SW
  • Gather comprehensive information from engineering data, system specifications, cost Inestimates, and impact assessments to support SCD development
  • Develop clear, concise, and accurate SCD documents following established templates and guidelines for each phase of development
  • Submit SCDs for review and approval through each phase of the process, addressing reviewer comments and concerns.
  • Lead CCB processes, facilitating technical reviews and approval workflows for all configuration changes.
  • Initiate and submit ILS Certifications in NDE to the SPM for approval
  • Maintain ILS Checklists for all SCN configuration changes.
  • Manage SCD data through the life cycle within the Naval Data Environment (NDE) system to ensure accuracy of fielding plans updates
  • Coordinate with engineering, testing, logistics, and other teams to ensure proper SCD implementation and integration through completion of the change
  • Process phase IV fielding plan updates as availability and funding changes as needed.
  • Review Letter of Authorizations (LOAs) for accuracy for TSCE SW alterations.
