Requisition #: 1330 Job Title: Configuration Management Specialist II Job Title for Careers Page: Configuration Management Specialist II Location: Shaw AFB Clearance Level: TS/SCI Required Certification(s): · Associates degree in Computer Science or related field; or · 4+ years of configuration management experience in a like size organization; or · Configuration Management II (CMII) Basics Certification or · equivalent certification SUMMARY Coordinate and administer all Configuration Management activities. Formulate procedures for and execute the introduction of changes to engineering documents. Oversee the review of released engineering change data and change documentation activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Computer Science or related field; or
  • 4+ years of experience in a like size organization; or
  • Configuration Management II (CMII) Basics Certification or equivalent certification
  • Demonstrated skill with Visio (Network diagram, system diagram, floor plans and build envelope)
  • Experience with Inventory management (Hardware and software)
  • Demonstrated experience in writing documentation
  • Basic understanding of IT system and system configuration
  • Basic understanding of projects and project management
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to brief colleagues and leadership
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a high energy environment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer all Configuration Management activities.
