A Configuration Management Specialist (aka Configuration Manager) is responsible for actively managing engineering design data throughout a product's lifecycle in accordance with program requirements. This position will support GE Aviation Engineering Power groups located in Pompano Beach, FL and Bohemia, NY. In this role, you will assist with providing consistency between the product and its configuration information and establishment of Configuration Management Plan (CMP) for assigned programs. Product categories include documents, hardware, software, tools, materials, processes, and systems. Primarily functioning as a change administrator in accordance with the 5 Pillars of CM, this role ensures any changes to product information are identified, approved, verified, and recorded in sufficient detail to produce and support the product throughout its life cycle.
