About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Lead to provide vital support to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Video Services (GVS) business area to enable the integration of video services into the Department of Defense. This position is a combination of remote (20%) and onsite (80%) support in Chantilly, Virginia or Fort Meade, Maryland. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: In this role, you will drive the success of configuration management activities, ensuring that all change control processes and standards align with Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Service Management Framework best practices. As the CM Lead, you will play a critical role in designing, facilitating, and managing change activities and workflows, ensuring seamless transitions while maintaining compliance with DoD directives. Your expertise will ensure accurate tracking, planning, and reporting of all configuration-related changes, helping stakeholders and customers achieve mission success. Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and fit with company/customer system architecture standards. Provide day-to-day support and processing of CRs as they progress through the change lifecycle. Verify incoming Request for Change (RFC) forms are correctly completed and supporting artifacts are included. Assign CR number, change category, and change type. Notify change requestors, change implementors, and change practitioners when their CR requires additional information; Coordinate any updates provided. Ensure all Change Advisory Board (CAB) members vote on each change by the end of review period. Track status through the CR life cycle and provide updates upon request. Communicate CAB member decisions to affected stakeholders. Design and implement change models and configurations workflows to optimize effectiveness and ensure compliance with DoD standards. Plan, schedule, manage, and facilitate CAB meetings to ensure a structured and collaborative change review process. Participate in change and release review and planning, ensuring alignment with operational goals and requirements. Develop and maintain the Configuration Management (CM) Plan in accordance with DoD Enterprise standards. Create, manage, and track CM artifacts, including: Firewall rulesets and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) knowledge articles, DTO (Defense Tasking Order) tracking and reporting for enhanced configuration control, and AAR (After Action Reports) summarizing implemented change outcomes and lessons learned. Coordinate deployment of User Interface (UI) releases, ensuring consistent and incremental delivery of functionality. Develop and present capability briefings, such as "GVS 101," to educate stakeholders and align configuration objectives with broader program goals. Maintain configuration baselines and develop effective auditing and status accounting practices to support compliance and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ related technical experience.
  • Strong understanding of configuration and change management processes compliant with DoD directives.
  • Familiarity with CAB decision-making processes and lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining operational documentation (e.g., CM plans, firewall rulesets, SOPs).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio).
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework or similar change management best practices.
  • Expertise in using SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform workflows to enhance Configuration Management processes.
  • Prior experience supporting DoD projects or familiarity with DoD Enterprise Service environments.
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification.
  • Experience in Pexip, Vidyo, or other video conference platforms.
  • Certification in Azure or Cloud.
