About The Position

The Configuration Engineer position is a member of the Digital Workplace Team and will be responsible for end user deployment configurations and support. They will focus on the design, deployment and management of the MDM infrastructure, creating software deployment packages/updates and applying best practices for Safelite's end user.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree bachelors degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience Required
  • 4-6 years Mobile Device Support Required
  • 1-3 years customer service experience Required
  • 4-6 years experience providing application support in complex business environments, including a mix of SaaS, Hybrid and On-premise installations Required
  • 1-3 years experience working in business critical environments Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (High proficiency)
  • Proven troubleshooting abilities (High proficiency)
  • Passion for investigating and solving customer problems, using advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills / toolsets (High proficiency)
  • SaaS platform integration / interface / API troubleshooting (Medium proficiency)
  • Experience in administering AWS / Azure cloud platforms (Medium proficiency)
  • Proficiency / certified in Enterprise Mobility Management Toolsets (e.g. AirWatch, InTune, XenMobile) (Medium proficiency)
  • Microsoft 365 Teamwork Administrator Associate Certification (Medium proficiency)
  • CompTIA Cloud + (Medium proficiency)
  • Proficiency / certified in Endpoint Platform Management and Packaging Toolsets (e.g. SCCM, InTune, Altiris)) (Medium proficiency)
  • Proficiency / certified in VDI troubleshooting skills (e.g. XenDesktop, VMware Horizon) (Medium proficiency)

Responsibilities

  • Mobile device/other management using Workspace One, including profile/device profile configuration and auditing the settings to ensure
  • Coordinate and deploy applications ensuring all devices receive the updates based on the active users in the system
  • Collaborate with other teams and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements, Documentation
  • Ensure project completion by assessing and engaging additional support teams including but not limited to internal areas as well as 3rd Parties
  • Level 3 support of the mobile tickets
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials where needed
  • Provide after hours support as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
