Overview of Role: The Configuration Analyst (Associate) supports the configuration management program for the Department of Defense network infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining device configuration files, change tracking documentation, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) records. Key duties include performing configuration file backups, versioning and restoration, tracking and reporting configuration changes, assisting with security configuration audits, managing the device configuration library in approved repositories, validating configuration baselines, and producing change tracking documentation under the guidance of the Configuration Manager Roles and Responsibilities: Supports the configuration management program by maintaining device configuration files, CMDB records, and change tracking documentation for DoD network infrastructure. Performs configuration file backup, versioning, and restoration for all managed network devices; enters and maintains CMDB data; tracks configuration changes and generates compliance reports; assists with STIG configuration audits; maintains the device configuration library in government-approved repositories; validates configuration baselines against approved standards; and generates change tracking documentation under the direction of the Configuration Manager.
