Our Open Opportunity The Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is seeking candidates to join its Catering and Conference Services team as a Conference Services Manager. The Conference Services Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of conferences, meetings, and special events at our luxury property. This role ensures that every event reflects the hotel’s commitment to exceptional service, attention to detail, and personalized experiences for high-profile clients.

Requirements

  • We are looking for individuals who have a thorough knowledge of guest service, cost control, labor control, merchandising, and accounting.
  • Applicants are required to have one to two years previous employment in a related position.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel, or similar environment
  • Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for customer service.
  • Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for corporate conferences, meetings, professional teams & entertainment once contracted through post-event follow-up.
  • Manage all aspects of events, including the room setup, catering and other special requests
  • Oversee the execution of events/stay and troubleshooting any issues that may arise
  • Work cohesively with the culinary, banquets, front office and the operational team to deliver seamless service
  • Drive revenue and exceed goals through upsells in banquets food & beverage to assigned groups
  • Forecast food & beverage events for assigned groups
  • Manage guestroom blocks to assigned groups & provide updates during group pick up meeting
  • Communicate and provide solutions to clients about rooms and food & beverage attrition
  • Provide excellent customer service and manage customer expectations
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with clients, understanding their needs and working with them through execution of their event
  • Maintain budgets, communicating to clients about estimated expenses
  • Prepare and distribute event documents, such as Banquet Event Orders, Diagrams, Resume, and post-event reports
  • Conduct pre-conference meetings and post-event meetings
  • Lead Planning Site Visits
