About The Position

The Conference Services Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless planning, coordination, and execution of conferences and events within the hospitality environment. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by anticipating and fulfilling client needs while managing all logistical aspects of conference services. The manager collaborates closely with sales, catering, and operations teams to guarantee that every event meets or exceeds client expectations. They oversee the setup, service delivery, and breakdown of events, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines. Ultimately, the Conference Services Manager drives client satisfaction and repeat business by maintaining high service standards and fostering strong relationships with guests and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in conference services, event management, or hospitality operations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide service-oriented support with a focus on guest needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively handle and resolve issues.
  • Ability to adapt and effectively cope with change in a dynamic work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hotel sales or hospitality sales environments.
  • Formal training or certification in event management or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with event management software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of conference and event services from initial client consultation through event completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the planning and execution phases, ensuring clear communication and responsiveness to guest needs.
  • Collaborate with sales, catering, and operations departments to align event logistics, including room setup, audiovisual requirements, and catering services.
  • Supervise and train conference services staff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Monitor event progress and promptly address any issues or changes to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
