About The Position

The Conference Coordinator (“Coordinator”) will work closely with ICLRS staff to plan, coordinate, and execute specific responsibilities for conferences as outlined below. The Coordinator will work specifically with the Religious Freedom Annual Review and the International Law and Religion Symposium, and provide support for other conferences as needed. Please note: One half to two thirds of the Coordinator’s annual work time commitment is from mid-April to mid-October.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of related experience
  • Commitment to the mission and aims of the Law School and the University
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed organizational skills and efficiency
  • Professional integrity and sound judgment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and direct others when required
  • Proficient with standard office software (especially Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps)
  • Tech-savvy with the ability and willingness to learn and utilize new technology and tools

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with conference liaison.
  • Fulfill conference tasks and assignments as needed per conference.
  • Prepare training materials and information for students and volunteers.
  • Manage tasks and timelines for student support and make assignments.
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with all committee leads.
  • Oversee each Symposium subcommittee and work closely with conference liaison: Recruitment/Volunteer; Transportation; Hosting; Concierge; Documents/Media.
  • Plan and conduct weekly Symposium Executive Committee meetings with Center personnel and committee members.
  • Create and manage master schedules.
  • Utilize database information/reports to help student committee fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Regularly follow up with each committee, ensuring tasks are done per the timeline.
  • Manage and track communications with all student committee members and volunteers.
  • Coordinate Law School IT and scheduling support.
  • Review information from previous years and update logistics and information for current year.
  • Write up a summary of the logistical management for the Center at the conclusion of the Annual Review and the Symposium.
