About The Position

The Concrete Sales Representative is responsible for all sales with Adams Bros. Concrete Products business lines. The primary task of the Concrete Sales Representative is to create and maintain professional relationships with clients on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • 2 years of Sales experience required
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all existing and new customer sales relations for Adams Bros Concrete Products. and will also include a general knowledge of all possible sales and services that are provided by all Zemba Companies’ different services and capabilities.
  • Achieve sales goals for assigned territory using the tools and direction given through training, management and experience; continuously analyze sales data to ensure goals are being met on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Will be required and responsible to present past and future sales forecasts for their assigned Adams Bros. Concrete Products. business lines and territory. To the Sales Manager.
  • Reviewing bid documents and specifications and preparing quotes based off these items with final review based upon senior management.
  • Responsible for being aware of any upcoming local projects to gain new clients and work.
  • Process, transmit and run credit card and cash transactions for customer sales and refunds.
  • Will assist with the Accounts Receivables department for customers’ accounts and future accounts.
  • Ability to differentiate between aggregates, grades, sizes, and textures of materials.
  • Provide quality control assistance on jobsites when needed and understand all quality control testing procedures when needed.
  • Supplies customers with submittals and products that follows ACI, ASTM and DOT requirements as well as other regulatory agencies per requested spec if needed.
  • Records and maintains files and records of customer requests, complaints, inventory, and other quality assurance information.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections then communicate and, define deficiencies to shop immediately.
  • Maintain contact with dispatch to receive and assist in additional instructions and changes to work locations, site conditions, weather, etc.
  • Responsible to comply with all hand signals and movements from co-workers safely and thoroughly, keeping eye contact when backing up and unloading materials.
  • Ensures that all Company personnel follow all safety procedures and processes including the proper use of safety equipment.
  • Maintains truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
  • Answer calls after hours and weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to carry 50+ lbs.
  • All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to light yard duties
