Concrete Plant Maintenance Supervisor
About The Position
This position is in a manufacturing plant environment. Must have manufacturing experience as well as able to work in all weather conditions. Summary of Primary Functions : Directs and coordinate activities of support department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products. Reviews production orders/BOMs or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations. Plans support operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications. Reviews production and operating reports resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Ensure specific operational performances and optimum utilization ; Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Production Superintendent for actions. Knowledge of carpentry, warehouse operations, metal fabrications, welding fabrication and equipment operations, and be able to step in as needed. Complies, stores, and retrieves production and support data ; Run production and time/attendance reports for IFS; Run shop card reports.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
- 7 to 10 (+) years prior or related experience is required
- 1 -2 (+) years Supervisory Experience required
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions
- Knowledge of carpentry, warehouse operations, metal fabrications, welding fabrication and equipment operations
