Ready to shape the future of resilient communities? Verdantas is seeking a Field Technician Intern for our Plymouth, MI location. This hands-on role focuses on construction materials testing and requires an MCA certification. The ideal candidate will support field operations, ensuring quality and compliance across a variety of infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload
- Proficiency with standard computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, internally and externally
- ACI/MCA Concrete Field Testing Technician and Nuclear Safety Certified certifications are a must
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and 80 lbs. periodically
- Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and proof of insurance
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in the construction materials testing field is desirable
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials, structures, and systems
- Perform inspections and assessments of projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from tests and inspections
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findings
- Operate and maintain advanced field and laboratory equipment
- Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and protocols
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and team members
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
- Communicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager/Supervisor
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
