About The Position

Responsible for setting curb pins, running string lines for curb machine placement, and shaping and finishing multiple curb types by hand. The role requires experience with curb machine operations, ensuring quality workmanship in the placement and finishing of concrete curbs. Work includes reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, setting forms, pouring concrete, and applying finishing techniques to achieve required textures and durability.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of related experience.
Experience with setting up and operating curb machines.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job layouts, and specifications.
Proficiency in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate measurements, slopes, and material quantities accurately.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work on weekends as needed.
Ability to travel to job sites as required.
Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions.
Ability to stand for extended periods, stoop, bend, and crouch as required.
Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50-90 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
Maintain constant alertness to multiple concurrent activities on the construction site.
Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions.
Sufficient skill and visual acuity, under varying degrees of light, darkness, and weather conditions.
