Concrete Carpenter job details include constructing and installing structures, measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials made of wood, building formwork for concrete foundations, reading blueprints and other drawings, calculating requirements, complying with building codes and other safety regulations, bending, cutting, placing, and securing steel bars/rods, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds when needed. Steel-toe shoes are a requirement for this position.

Requirements

GED or high school diploma in your pocket and time on the brake under your belt.
Eyes Like a Hawk. You catch every off-angle before it becomes a problem.
Shop Strong. You lift heavy, move quickly, and don't fold under pressure.
Safety First, Always. You don't cut corners, just clean edges.
1 year of concrete construction experience (specifically working with concrete tools, building forms, laying wire mesh, and tying rebar)
Valid driver's license
Steel-toe shoes are a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and metal using carpentry tools and equipment.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood or substitutes.
Build formwork for concrete foundations, columns, beams, and slabs.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
Ensure compliance with building codes and health and safety regulations.
Bending, cutting, placing, and securing steel bars/rods
Lifting a minimum of 50 pounds when needed.
