About The Position

Some responsibilities include: Understand the project plans and specifications. Determine materials, equipment and, procedures required to achieve desired results Determine and abide by safety procedures based on job site conditions Communicate equipment and manpower needs to meet schedules and deadlines. Assist with the placement of concrete for projects Placing concrete from a truck, crane, bucket or pump Structural Concrete experience (footings and walls) Cement finishing experience Finishing concrete Coordinate with Superintendent onsite for direction and schedule Operating all necessary tools associated with the job. Successfully communicating and understanding both verbal and written directions Organize, structure and perform tasks within a set schedule Experience/knowledge of construction Self-starter with ability to work in a team environment

Requirements

  • Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
  • Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
  • Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in concrete preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Reliable and punctual

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the commercial construction industry preferred.
