About The Position

Gas South Arena has a capacity of 13,000 and features a state-of-the-art house reduction system which can quickly convert the space to a 3,500 theater-style setting or a large convention and tradeshow space with a capacity of 10,000 attendees. The Arena also includes 11 concessions, 30 corporate suites, 2 party suites, club level seats, a spacious concourse to host a wide variety of events. Proof of the Pudding is the exclusive F&B provider for the Arena. We are seeking concessions staff that will be responsible for various concessions operations at onsite events, to join the team at the Gas South Arena. The Arena hosts a mixture of events, from hockey, volleyball, and lacrosse to world renowned concerts and variety shows!

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience in the high volume food service industry, preferably in concessions environment for a sports and entertainment venue.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Must be a phenomenal team player.
• Must have impeccable integrity for the business, the community, and the Proof of the Pudding Team.
• Must be flexible to work extend hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond any client needs
• Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.
• Prolonged periods of moving through an event space, and traveling throughout the stadium
• Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
• Must be able to lift up-to 30 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work with new team members week-to-week to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Greet and service guests at the register, taking orders, and accepting payment (debit card, credit card)
• Ability to perform multiple roles of a concession stand such as cashier, runner, plating food, cleaning, counting inventory, restocking, and customer service.
• Prepare food while following standard health and safety procedures.
• Willing to receive formal or on-the-job training and coaching to improve.
• Replenish food coolers as needed.
• Scrub and polish counters, tables, and other equipment.
• Clean dishes and fountain equipment
• Inventory control: Assess inventory and assist in preparing product orders as necessary.
• Stock and restock items as necessary.
• Ensure all sanitation procedures are followed relating to all local licensing regulations.
• Performs sales transactions in a reasonable and timely fashion.
• Enter sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• Accepts acceptable forms of payment and issues receipts to customers.
• Performs other duties such as replenishing condiments and general supplies and maintaining cleanliness concession area.
• Ensures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other related duties as required.
