Position Summary The Concessions Cashier utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepare and pour beverages and serve them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy. This role will pay an hourly rate of $13.00-$13.50 and is tip eligible Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline. About the Venue Santander Arena, located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania, is a versatile venue that serves as the home arena for the Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. The Santander Arena has hosted an array of live events including concerts, Disney on Ice, and other family friendly events attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be 18 or over.
Ability to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system.
Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.

Nice To Haves

Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry is preferred.
Previous cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct the cash register sales by entering the orders and completing the transaction.
Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating to the Concessions Manager of low stock items.
Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns
Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages responsibly.
Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
Assembles and serves guests orders.
