About The Position

Responsible for opening and/or closing the Racing Snack Bar in accordance with operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations and cash control policies and procedures. Prepares dishes up and serves food and beverage menu items offered at the snack bar according to established recipes and procedures. Requires knowledge, skills, and experience in accurately handling various forms of cash transactions, decision-making, problem solving, complaint resolution, and customer service. Follows all operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations and departmental policies and procedures. Ensures appearance of Snack Bar and work areas are maintained in a clean and functional manner. Notifies appropriate staff members when assistance is needed. Demonstrates an upbeat and outgoing demeanor while on duty. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols. Promotes outstanding customer relations. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge and skills to safely prepare and serve food items
Knowledge and skills to safely prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
Knowledge and skills to work with personal computers, inventory control systems, food production/storage systems, sanitation systems, etc.
Ability to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret instructions
Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions
Must be able to obtain an Oklahoma Gaming License
Oklahoma Horse Racing License
Must be able to obtain an ABLE Commission and ServSafe Licenses
