Concessions Attendant
About The Position
Responsible for opening and/or closing the Racing Snack Bar in accordance with operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations and cash control policies and procedures. Prepares dishes up and serves food and beverage menu items offered at the snack bar according to established recipes and procedures. Requires knowledge, skills, and experience in accurately handling various forms of cash transactions, decision-making, problem solving, complaint resolution, and customer service. Follows all operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations and departmental policies and procedures. Ensures appearance of Snack Bar and work areas are maintained in a clean and functional manner. Notifies appropriate staff members when assistance is needed. Demonstrates an upbeat and outgoing demeanor while on duty. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols. Promotes outstanding customer relations. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior
Requirements
- Requires knowledge and skills needed to safely prepare and serve food items in accordance with internal policies and external regulations and/or laws.
- Requires knowledge and skills needed to safely prepare and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with internal policies and external regulations and/or laws.
- Requires the knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with personal computers, inventory control systems, foodproduction/storage systems, sanitation systems, etc.
- Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Must be able to obtain an Oklahoma Gaming License
- Oklahoma Horse Racing License
- Must be able to obtain an ABLE Commission and ServSafe Licenses
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical school or formal apprenticeship may be required.
