About The Position

GENERAL PURPOSE This position is responsible for servicing concession patrons by completing all tasks involved with food service preparation.

Requirements

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of age with some knowledge of food/concession operations preferred
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age to work the grill and fryer at Rice
• This position must have a ServSafe certificate
• This position must be able to occasionally move items such as a pallet of soda weighing up to 25 lbs
• This position will be required to frequently move about the concession area and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, and reach
• This position will be required to stand for extended periods of time
• This position must be able to be exposed to all extreme summer weather conditions including heat, sun, rain, and varying degrees of temperature and light
• This position will also frequently be exposed to hot oils and hot equipment, cleaning chemicals and cleaning supplies
• The concession area will be very warm at times due to outside weather conditions and heat from the equipment

Responsibilities

• Collect money from patrons (i.e. cashier)
• Skilled in the use of concession equipment
• Assist in restocking of inventory
• Preparation and serving of food items
• Assist with all opening and closing procedures
• Report equipment problems to manager
• Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer
• Follow the Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis
• Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures
