We are looking for a qualified technician to assist in the day-to-day operations of our IT department as a primary contact for troubleshooting camera, telecom, and cabling issues as well as processing student devices for warranty repairs. This position will involve working in several capacities throughout the day based on work order requests, and will involve working alone or with other technicians to complete school or district initiatives as needed or assigned. As a field technician, you will be assigned to the district office and provide service to our schools and other sites across the district. This will require an appropriate level of independence in terms of skill and time management. On-the-job training will be provided for specialized topics, but a basic level of pre-requisite knowledge is required. For example, you must be generally comfortable with running and terminating cable runs, troubleshooting connectivity issues, diagnosing and repairing general computer problems (replacing hard drive, re-seating cables, replace keyboard, etc.), toning out a network cable, etc. You will also need to be comfortable troubleshooting from a software perspective, as this role will involve some troubleshooting and maintenance of our camera system and phone system, both of which are managed through software.
