About The Position

Central Maine Community College seeks a Computer Technology Instructor for our Computer Technology Department. This is a full-time faculty position primarily responsible to teach 15 credit hours per semester and begins teaching responsibilities in the Spring 2026 semester. Courses are delivered in-person during the day and evening, online, hybrid, or a combination. In addition to instruction, position responsibilities include student advising, curriculum development, assessment and other related duties.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the industry
  • Knowledge of HTML and Javascript, Python, Java, C, C++, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, EC-Council CEH, or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, etc.)
  • Experience teaching college-level computer courses
  • Involvement in professional organizations and networks related to computer technology
