Computer Systems Engineer/Architect
About The Position
Strategic Operational Solutions, Inc. (STOPSO) seeks a Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to provide design, engineering, integration, and technical support for mission-critical IT systems in support of a Military Customer. This position is responsible for contributing to the planning, implementation, and optimization of network architectures, supporting system lifecycles, and providing technical improvements and solutions aligned with evolving operational requirements and Service Level Agreements. The engineer supports the technical refresh of IT infrastructure, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and ensures all changes are compliant with Federal, DoD, and Military Customer security and interoperability standards
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering or IT architecture
- Demonstrated experience designing, optimizing, and implementing complex systems and VDI environments
- Experience supporting requirements gathering, technical documentation, and stakeholder coordination
- Security+CE, ITIL Foundation v3 or v4 certification required
- Active Top Secret or Active SECRET with ability to gain a Top Secret clearance
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
- Experience with Microsoft platforms and DoD Architecture Frameworks (DoDAF) preferred
- PMP, MCP, MCSE, or equivalent certifications
- Prior experience with Federal or Defense IT operations and technical refresh
- Experience developing operational efficiencies and improving total cost of ownership
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and collaboration skills
