The Computer Support Analyst at York College of Pennsylvania is responsible for the design, maintenance, and support of campus computers and related systems. This role is essential in advancing technology for various departments and academic schools, ensuring a reliable and secure computing infrastructure that supports all academic and administrative functions.

  • Coordinate hardware deployment of Windows devices across campus.
  • Consult with users to determine hardware, software or system specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design, implement, manage and troubleshoot software and driver distribution to campus computers and devices.
  • Design and configure Windows images for campus hardware based on user interaction and design specifications.
  • Develop and analyze needs for specialty Windows devices, printing, mobile devices, purchasing, etc.
  • Work with supervisor and other Client Services and LTS Groups to proactively improve, identify and address issues and needs relating to campus computing.
  • Provide basic guidance and support to faculty, students and staff regarding desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, printers and software.
  • Provide contact and liaison with vendors.
  • Collaborate with select departments to provide specialized technical support.
  • Remain current on internal and external IT service support trends and recommend opportunities in reduction of cost, service, and response/resolution time.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred (i.e., Computer Science, Engineering, MIS) or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware.
  • 3 years of experience with desktop operating systems and software, specifically Windows, Apple and iOS, including experience with MCM/SCCM and JAMF or similar device management systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience with printing technology.
  • Knowledge of dynamic technologies and environments including computer systems.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently without direction.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with end-users.
