About The Position

Under the direction of the Information Services Director, the employee will ensure Crane School's information technology end-user devices meet Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability requirements necessary to allow uninterrupted district education and operation services. This job goal will be accomplished by adhering to technical and administrative policies and procedures, performance metrics and service level agreement expectations, customer satisfaction level of expectations, and following Crane School's Leadership Mission. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year hands-on work experience in information technology devices.
  • Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience working with, troubleshooting, and repairing modern enterprise end user devices such as printers, fax machines, multifunction machines, computer workstations, laptops, smart cell phones, iPads, chrome books, desktop phones, and audio-visual devices.
  • Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience working with end user devices in LAN/WAN/MAN topologies.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute complex written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds; differentiate colors, bend, stoop, reach and climb.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others.
  • Ability to handle high volume workload.
  • Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and resolve end user device enterprises and commercial of the shelf software applications and operating system problems.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply proper copper and fiber cabling techniques.
  • Knowledge of enterprise information technology end user device security best practices.
  • Knowledge of enterprise end user device management such as workstation virtualization, Microsoft Active Directory, and mobile device management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • A valid State Driver’s License may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in computer science, management information systems, or similar area of study.
  • Enterprise certifications desired such as CompTIA A +, CompTIA IT Fundamentals, Microsoft Technical Associate – IT Infrastructure, Apple Certified Professional, Apple Certified Associate.

Responsibilities

  • Keep current in the fields of information technology end user devices and when budgeted attend technical training and seminars to stay abreast of new technology that would benefit the district.
  • Assist in the short and long-term planning and implementation of information technology end user devices and applicable expansion solutions by providing the most efficient and cost-effective technology.
  • Assist in the creation, administration, and maintenance of end user accounts.
  • Troubleshoot, communicate, and resolve problems in a timely manner on all information technology end user devices.
  • Perform routine scheduled and emergency nonscheduled software, firmware, and hardware updates and upgrades.
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of information technology end user devices and other end user interconnecting technology.
  • Define, create, implement, and maintain information technology policies and procedures.
  • Assist in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and reporting performance metrics.
  • Define, create, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Follows industry/company standards regarding safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains work areas, tools and PPE in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
  • Assist in maintaining current all hardware, software, and vendor services contracts.
  • Uses information technology management tools to manage end user incidents and task requests.
  • Assist and work harmoniously with vendors and Crane Schools employees.
  • Professional-upbeat attitude.
  • Perform other related duties as required by Information Services Director.
