About The Position

CFS Professorial Continuing Faculty Status (BYU equivalent of "Tenure Track"), will teach mostly as day classes, but could include Evening or Online classes. Outstanding candidates in all areas of computer science are encouraged to apply. Outstanding applicants in technical areas of animation are also encouraged to apply. Professorial candidates are expected to teach effectively in both graduate and undergraduate environments. All candidates are expected to be contributing citizens of the department and university. They are also expected to have a strong research orientation and scholarly abilities. Candidates in the field of animation animation are expected to have either a strong research orientation, a strong creative works orientation, or a combination of both. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in computer science or a related field. Candidates in the field of animation must have either a Ph.D. or an MFA in a related field.
  • Required degree must be completed by the start date.
