About The Position
The Computer Science FT Faculty position is a CFS Professorial role, equivalent to a Continuing Faculty Status or Tenure Track position. The start date is 8/1/2026. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in computer science or a related field, or a Ph.D. or MFA for animation candidates, completed by the start date. Outstanding candidates in all areas of computer science are encouraged to apply, with particular interest in computer security or computer systems. Outstanding applicants in technical areas of animation are also encouraged to apply. Professorial candidates are expected to teach effectively in both graduate and undergraduate environments and be contributing citizens of the department and university. They are also expected to have a strong research orientation and scholarly abilities. Candidates in the field of animation animation are expected to have either a strong research orientation, a strong creative works orientation, or a combination of both.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in computer science or a related field (or Ph.D. or MFA for animation candidates)
- Required degree must be completed by the start date
- List the individual contact information for each of your three recommenders on the faculty application (may be included in cover letter)
- Attach your Mission Alignment Statement (full-time faculty only), updated Curriculum Vitae, and cover letter to the faculty application.
- Animation applicants must include either a Curriculum Vitae or a portfolio.
- All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
- All faculty are required to abide by the university’s Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
