2nd Shift Computer Room Operator
About The Position
Labatt Food Service, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas is the tenth largest foodservice distributor in the nation. We operate in a high-intensity, high-transaction logistics environment, supplying 14,000 items to food-away-from-home customers in Texas and New Mexico from 5 distribution centers. Computer Room Operator Responsibilities: Responsible for monitoring and supporting data center and warehouse operations to ensure the continuous functioning of systems This role also includes oversight of AS/400 operations, print and report processing, system backups, and first-level hardware support
Requirements
- Prior experience in a data center, IT operations, or computer room environment preferred
- Proficient in AS/400 system navigation and execution of commands such as WRKACTJOB, WRKOUTQ, etc.
- Monitor and manage job queues, ensuring high-priority processes complete on schedule
- Experienced in printing case labels, reports, and forms on line printers
- Continuously check job logs and system messages to identify errors and system alerts requiring intervention
- Manage system backup media for data storage and recovery
- Provide first-level support for warehouse hardware and connectivity issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and incidents
- Must bring a valid state-issued ID or driver's license, and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Applicable candidates must pass pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical.
