Job Summary: Emergency Radiologic Technologists work as part of a health care team to provide critical information necessary in diagnosing patients of all ages by performing x-rays, computed tomography (CT) and laboratory studies for a variety of illnesses and injuries. Position will also be responsible for assisting clinical staff with other duties as assigned. Requirements

Associate Degree (two-year college or technical school)
Graduate of accredited School of Radiology
Minimum of one year as a practicing X-Ray and computed tomography technologist.
Basic computer skills
ARRT
BLS
Texas Radiologic Technologist License

Nice To Haves

hospital experience in CT and X-Ray, preferably in Emergency Medicine
excellent communication skills
self-discipline
knowledge to handle emergent radiology situations timely and with accuracy

Responsibilities

Works as part of a healthcare team to perform required patient interventions including radiological procedures, laboratory procedures, and assisting physicians and nurses with patient care.

Produces high quality radiography by following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards/procedures, properly developing radiographs, observing radiographic results, making adjustments as needed, etc.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating in continuing education, reviewing professional publications, and involvement in professional societies as required by licensing board.
