Position Summary Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the department's productivity and quality goals are met. As a leader in integrity and quality, the Manufacturing Associate I is part of a cohesive team manufacturing high-quality products. This diverse and exciting role cross trains in different value streams based on the changing needs of the business. You will interact fluidly with peers, supervisors and cross-functionally work with Quality Control, Logistics, and Process Engineers. At Parker, you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in a LEAN environment. In this position, you will work from 10:15PM-6:45AM.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
GED or High School Diploma required.
0-1+ years of manufacturing experience required.
Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of computers with Microsoft Office.
Ability to read, write, and understand basic English required.
Ability to stand for long durations up to 8 hours, and lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
Comfortable working daily around hazardous chemicals.

Nice To Haves

Good manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination a plus.
Ability to read work orders and blueprints a plus.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team to meet time sensitive deadlines.

Responsibilities

Verify needed raw materials, tools, and equipment to perform basic machine operations and/ or assembly work.
Use calipers, verniers and other measuring devices to perform and evaluate work.
Perform assistance on multiple machine setups and basic operations to prepare, process, and inspect parts for optimal quality and output.
Perform routine/ basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
Complete daily documentation and reporting metrics accurately and on time as outlined.
Package products and materials appropriately for other areas to bring workflow to completion.
Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate between departments and notify leaders and engineers of issues.
Work cross functionally in designated areas to support business needs such as extrusion, molding, trimming, and splicing.
Support company LEAN and High-Performance team objectives and initiatives to promote company culture through by assisting with training/ shadowing and filling out team improvement board information and/ or Starpoint.
Sustain Safety and 5S program, use appropriate PPE for designated area, which can include painting/ clean room environments.
