Roles and Responsibilities: Role Summary: · Mix calculated compound ratios specified per formula and written specifications, blending materials, weighing, and heating as prescribed · Install parts in fixtures, create reservoir and install spacers as required · Operate computerized ovens per specifications to ensure curing times and cycles are maintained as required · Vacuum cycle the parts as required to evacuate air and humidity · Clean components to remove excess compound and flash to ensure cosmetic appearance · Perform shelf-life audits daily as required Essential Responsibilities In addition, you will: · Work from layouts, prints, specifications, route sheets and general instructions · Review requirements, select appropriate mold / fixtures and obtain necessary materials · Prepare work area to ensure clean working surface · Use of hand tools, weight scale, molds, fixtures, vibrator, vacuum chamber, ovens, air gun, solvents and arbor press · Check work at prescribed intervals to ensure compliance with operating standards
