This role involves operating compound machinery and components in both upper and lower mills to mix and process raw materials into rubber and plastic compounds, which are then used to coat cables throughout production processes. Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and dependability.
  • Mechanical aptitude for setting up equipment.
  • Ability to monitor raw material supply and communicate discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in performing measurements with company approved measuring devices.
  • Ability to verify calibration of measuring devices.
  • Skill in visual inspection of materials throughout processes.
  • Ability to maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Capability to take corrective action to ensure quality product.
  • Willingness to participate in scheduled team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of and participation in maintaining ISO certification.
  • Adherence to applicable System Level Procedures (SLPs) and Process Controls.
  • Ability to review documentation / work orders.
  • Ability to operate fork trucks and change cylinders.
  • Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Works in a professional manner, punctual and highly dependable.
  • Mechanically sets up equipment per operating requirements.
  • Consistently monitors the supply of raw material to ensure continuous operation and communicates discrepancies.
  • Performs required measurements with company approved measuring devices to ensure final process meets the required specifications.
  • Verifies the measuring devices are calibrated.
  • Visually inspects material throughout all processes and takes appropriate measures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of all pertinent information required by Kerite, including work center records.
  • Takes corrective action to ensure quality product.
  • Participates in scheduled team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement.
  • Participates in maintaining ISO certification.
  • Adheres to applicable System Level Procedures (SLPs) and Process Controls.
  • Review documentation / work orders.
  • Operate fork trucks and change cylinders.
  • Communicate with Production Specialist/Production Supervisor.
