About The Position

PERFORMS SUCH TYPICAL DISTINGUISHING DUTIES AS: Inspects job loading, framing, skinning, riveting, cementing, and mating of subassemblies and assembly for conformance with applicable specifications. Inspects plastic parts and assemblies made from uninspected tooling as required. Inspects the incorporation of design and modification changes on parts and assemblies described herein. Identifies and records all nonconforming conditions in designated company computer systems providing clearly detailed statements of conditions utilizing and providing references to the required engineering specification, blueprints, drawings, technical data, work instructions etc. associated with the completeness of planned and unplanned operations. Provides Preliminary Review (PR) repair dispositions of non-engineering required repairs to discrepant nonconforming conditions in accordance with Blueprints, Engineering Drawings, Technical Data and Standard Repair Manuals. Must be willing to work any shift or any work schedule.

Requirements

  • Must have minimum of two years' experience working with Composites or prior inspection experience.
  • Proficient on the use of inspection tools (Calibers, Micrometers, scales, depth gages, etc.).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to pass Inspector Assessment.
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
  • Clearance Level: Secret

Nice To Haves

  • Must have a working knowledge of or have completed training in Inspection Principles, reading and understanding of temperature, humidity, and pressure charts, and the use of standard measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a knowledge or have completed training in the use and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with defect documentation.
  • Previously held Quality Assurance Inspector position.
  • Knowledge of LO principals.
  • Competency in Microsoft office suite and basic computer skills.
