About The Position

The Component Repair Program Manager plays a critical role on the Purchasing team by managing all phases of the budgetary planning and providing supplier and contractual oversight of the repair of major high-dollar program components. This position requires a blend of aircraft technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and supply chain expertise to effectively coordinate and support the short- and long-term budgetary and operational demands on repairs, overhauls, and life limits. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, Engineering, or related field or a combination of equivalent education and related experience.
  • Strong understanding of contractual agreements, vendor management principles, and supply chain best practices.
  • Familiarity with aircraft components, repair processes, and maintenance program requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and drive results to meet business objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, technical services, or supply chain management within the aviation industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of budgetary planning for the repair of major high-dollar program components.
  • Coordinate supplier relationships and contractual agreements to ensure efficient and cost-effective repair solutions.
  • Manage the planning and execution of component repairs, overhauls, and life limit extensions in alignment with regulatory requirements and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to forecast and address component repair demands.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on repair processes, maintenance programs, and component reliability enhancements.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and external suppliers, fostering strong vendor relationships and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on repair statuses, budgetary considerations, and operational impacts.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to component repair processes, supplier performance, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
