About The Position

As a Compliance Officer you'll review information, reports or data to determine if the applicable process is in compliance with internal policy or regulations. You'll perform compliance monitoring, testing or advising, and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners and help the business and the bank maintain an effective compliance program that stays within the risk appetite. In this role, you'll assess key risks and evaluate associated control design and effectiveness. Independently conduct planning, monitoring and testing on regulatory compliance risk activities and controls of first line business units. This includes participating in and hosting meetings, providing supporting material, engaging in dialog that seeks clarity, and documenting outcome results. Preparing testing results for reporting purposes Identify opportunities for improvement in the design and effectiveness of regulatory adherence, and compliance controls as appropriate for first line business units, issue final reports and communicate results, verbally and in writing, to first line management.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of related experience in Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit or similar field
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
  • Intermediate understanding of MS Office
  • Intermediate ability to foster and build relationships to achieve a common goal
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills
