The Security Compliance Manager ensures all security operations adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client-specific policies. This role serves as the primary authority on compliance matters, conducting regular audits, managing documentation, and implementing corrective actions to maintain operational excellence and mitigate risk. The Security Compliance Manager works cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs that protect the organization and its clients. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable security protocols and training materials. CORE OBJECTIVES Regulatory Excellence: Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable security regulations, including BSIS requirements, state and federal laws, and industry standards. Risk Mitigation: Identify, assess, and address compliance risks before they impact operations or client relationships. Documentation Integrity: Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and accessible compliance records that satisfy both internal and external audit requirements. Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate compliance processes and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver compliance training that empowers security personnel to understand and fulfill their regulatory obligations. Client Trust: Build confidence with clients through transparent reporting and proactive compliance management. Operational Integration: Ensure compliance requirements are seamlessly incorporated into daily security operations without compromising service quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in security compliance, risk management, or related field
  • 3+ years of management experience with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful compliance programs
  • Experience managing regulatory relationships and external audits
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Active BSIS Guard Card and security management certifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security industry regulations and standards
  • Experience with compliance management software and documentation systems
  • Proficiency in data analysis, risk assessment, and reporting methodologies
  • Understanding of physical security systems and their compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify compliance gaps and develop effective solutions
  • Strategic thinking to anticipate regulatory changes and their operational impact
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to balance compliance requirements with operational efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Program Management Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security compliance programs aligned with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Create and maintain compliance calendars to track deadlines for licenses, certifications, and regulatory filings.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, and compliance-focused client representatives.
  • Audit and Quality Assurance Design and execute regular internal audits to verify compliance with security regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare for and manage external audits, including coordination of documentation and personnel.
  • Develop corrective action plans to address compliance gaps and monitor implementation to completion.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of security operations, documentation, and training programs.
  • Policy Development and Implementation Author, review, and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure regulatory alignment.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to implement compliance requirements in a practical, efficient manner.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of current policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all compliance-related materials are properly version-controlled and accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Training and Communication Develop and deliver compliance training programs for security personnel at all levels.
  • Create clear, concise compliance communications that translate complex requirements into actionable guidance.
  • Provide regular compliance updates to leadership, including metrics, emerging regulations, and risk assessments.
  • Establish and maintain open communication channels for compliance questions and concerns.
