About The Position

During the Program you will interact with and get exposure to multiple departments and leaders throughout the Credit Union. Our intent is to create a future career path for students who have an interest in the financial services industry. IGNITE is designed to expose you to a variety of opportunities while fostering growth and learning. We are seeking students that are interested in a Compliance Internship for Summer 2026. Work this summer will involve researching regulations, comparing CCU operational processes to regulatory requirements, and confirm compliance through sample file reviews. You will prepare reports for Compliance Management and collaborate closely with the Compliance Program Manager on compliance reviews. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in an analytical role within banking. Gain valuable insight into the regulatory environment and learn how to align business operations with banking requirements, addressing needs, challenges, and opportunities along the way.

Requirements

Currently attending an accredited college or university
Rising juniors and seniors working toward a bachelor's degree in Business or related. Rising sophomores may be considered.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Ability to work 32 hours per week for the summer (generally 8:00-5:00 Monday-Thursday) for the duration of the 12-week program (5/26/2026 – 8/13/2026). The schedule will involve onsite days based in Lake Forest, IL. Local candidates only.
Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite including email, calendaring, and instant messaging
Strong organizational skills
Verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to write a report
Ability to work independently
