About The Position

The Compliance Auditor will play a crucial role in supporting compliance leadership by assisting in the creation and maintenance of compliant procedures and reference materials. This position requires auditing transaction closings, verifying licensing requirements, conducting internal audits, and performing risk assessments. The auditor will also manage vendor risk processes, recommend policy updates, oversee content, and support compliance training.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance or auditor role, preferably within the banking industry.
  • Experience with data and claims processing.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge.
  • Familiarity with compliance procedures and state licensing requirements.
  • Experience in vendor management and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Manager in maintaining compliant procedures and reference materials.
  • Review transaction closings to ensure compliance with procedures and state licensing requirements.
  • Regularly verify licensing requirements for referral partners in California, South Dakota, and other applicable states.
  • Help implement and perform audits under the Internal Audit Program.
  • Assist in identifying compliance risks and tracking corrective actions.
  • Manage vendor risk processes, maintain the Venminder relationship, and route contract updates.
  • Recommend updates to compliance procedures and monitor their implementation.
  • Review published content, suggest revisions, and track approvals and distribution.
  • Support compliance training for new employees, track attendance, and assist with mandatory course completion.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines affecting the business.
