Under the direction of the AVP of Compliance, you will independently perform a variety of compliance duties, contribute to compliance program improvements, and help support internal and external inquiries, audits, and regulatory exams. You’ll also stay current on regulatory developments and assist the department in adapting to industry changes as efficiently and effectively as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, audit, risk management, financial services, or insurance who enjoys digging into requirements, partnering with the business, and helping operational teams implement practical, sustainable controls.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High degree of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently, with appropriate escalation, and to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Identify, evaluate, and help mitigate risk by assisting in the creation and implementation of controls.

  • Support regulatory exams, market conduct exams, and internal/external audits by coordinating information requests, assembling documentation, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timely responses.
  • Execute testing programs to assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls and processes.
  • Review business processes and transactions for adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and communicate non-compliance issues and opportunities for improvement, escalating as appropriate and partnering on corrective action plans.
  • Perform issue follow-up and support escalation when needed to ensure resolution.
  • Assist with reporting and materials for senior management, committees, boards, and other governance groups.
  • Contribute to projects supporting the design, creation, implementation, and management of compliance programs.
