About The Position

Our client is a leading energy company seeking a dedicated Compliance Analyst to join their Business Services team. This 6-month contract opportunity offers the chance to work with tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and internal controls across a major renewable energy portfolio. You'll be supporting critical compliance functions while gaining valuable experience in the dynamic energy sector.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 0-5 years of experience in compliance, accounting, or finance roles
• Strong understanding of tax compliance and regulatory reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

• Experience with internal controls frameworks preferred
• Knowledge of energy industry regulations a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage tax abatement compliance processes and documentation
• Support regulatory filing obligations and ensure timely submission of required documents
• Assist with internal controls testing and documentation
• Maintain accurate records and databases for compliance tracking
• Prepare compliance reports and summaries for management review
• Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary compliance information
• Support audit processes and respond to regulatory inquiries
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on business operations
