About The Position

Join Enveda as a Competitive Insights and New Product Planning Director in a remote capacity and help us transform natural compounds into life-changing medicines. We’re a team driven by curiosity and innovation - are you ready to make a difference? At Enveda, every role drives impact. As Competitive Insights and New Product Planning Director, you will own and drive end-to-end competitive intelligence (CI) and new product planning (NPP) strategy across key assets within Enveda’s clinical-stage portfolio, starting with a priority program. In this role, you will shape how we compete, helping define product strategy, differentiation, and indication expansion across multiple programs over time. You will serve as the single accountable leader for competitive positioning, Target Product Profile (TPP) development and indication expansion frameworks, partnering closely with Asset Entrepreneurs / Program Leadership, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and other cross functional leaders. You will operate as a strategic thought partner and copilot to program leadership, translating complex scientific, clinical, regulatory, and commercial inputs into sharper strategy and faster, higher-quality decisions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in biopharmaceuticals, biotech, or healthcare consulting, including at least 4-5 years in competitive intelligence, portfolio strategy, commercial strategy, or equity research.
  • Demonstrated ownership of CI and/or NPP for an asset in clinical development
  • Experience building, evolving, and operationalizing Target Product Profiles
  • Strong scientific acumen paired with commercial judgment
  • Experience partnering with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations teams
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex data into structured, executive-level narratives
  • Bias toward ownership, clarity, and decision velocity in ambiguous environments
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information across disciplines and propose clear, data-driven strategic options
  • Comfortable moving fluidly between strategic vision and tactical execution and equally capable of shaping long-term product positioning and rolling up your sleeves to build the framework that gets us there
  • Proven ability to leverage AI and digital tools effectively, using them to organize complexity, analyze competitive landscapes, and sharpen decision-making not as a novelty, but as a multiplier of human insight
  • High emotional intelligence, humility, and collaborative leadership style; able to influence without authority across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Design and run the CI “nervous system” for metabolic health at Enveda spanning early‑stage biology through clinical and commercial strategy as a trusted thought partner to program leadership, portfolio strategy, commercial/market access, and business development teams
  • Define the key CI topics and questions for the program(s), and continuously refine as the landscape evolves
  • Systematically monitor competitors’ pipelines, trial designs, regulatory actions, partnerships, and commercial strategies
  • Translate a high volume of scientific, clinical, and market data into concise narratives, scenarios, and recommendations that drive action
  • Lead CI planning and execution for key scientific and medical conferences
  • Design and manage a fit‑for‑purpose CI infrastructure, leveraging internal resources, external data platforms, and AI tools
  • Leverage AI and digital tools as force multipliers, using them to organize complexity, pressure-test assumptions, model competitive scenarios, and accelerate insight generation while applying strong human judgment
  • Design and lead the CI + NPP “nervous system” for a priority clinical stage program, then partner to scale the model across additional assets
  • Define key competitive questions by stage (early clinical → expansion → positioning)
  • Continuously synthesize scientific, clinical, regulatory, and commercial signals into clear, decision-ready recommendations
  • Lead conference planning, attendance, and executive synthesis
  • Build fit-for-purpose CI infrastructure leveraging internal and external tools
  • Anticipate strategic inflection points and proactively model alternative scenarios (accelerate, differentiate, expand, pivot, or pause) based on evolving internal and external data
  • Bring rigor and readiness to key decisions with crisp data-driven materials and decision-focused analyses
  • Build and evolve TPPs as internal data emerge and the external landscape shifts
  • Dynamically benchmark against competitors (trial design, endpoints, biomarkers, safety, regulatory precedent, combination development) and translate into recommendations for development and differentiation
  • Ensure the TPP meaningfully bridges early translational insight to clinical development execution and long-term commercial positioning
  • Provide competitive context to inform early clinical study strategy, including Inclusion/exclusion criteria, Endpoint selection and comparability, Safety monitoring priorities
  • Partner with Clinical Operations to support feasibility and execution decisions using CI, including site selection inputs, country strategy, enrollment risk assessment, and benchmarking trial density/competition
  • Identify external enrollment pressures and operational risks created by competitor trial activity
  • Support go/no-go, sequencing, and resourcing decisions with scenario analysis
  • Develop structured frameworks to evaluate adjacent indications for the program (as applicable)
  • Assess biology fit, competitive intensity, clinical feasibility, regulatory precedent, and strategic upside vs distraction risk
