About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compensation Analyst for a 3-month contract to support the development, implementation, and administration of our compensation policies. You will play a critical role in ensuring our pay practices remain competitive, equitable, and compliant with statutory requirements. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional who enjoys technical analysis and can provide actionable recommendations to resolve complex compensation challenges.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Compensation, HR Analytics, or Total Rewards.
  • Systems: Proficiency with Pave and Radford is strongly preferred. Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling) are required.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of FLSA regulations and compensation theory (compa-ratios, market pricing, salary banding).
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex financial/data concepts to non-technical HR partners and hiring managers.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis & Benchmarking
  • Survey Management: Develop and participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary data.
  • Competitive Positioning: Analyze market trends to determine the company’s competitive position and recommend adjustments to salary structures.
  • Preferred Tools: Utilize Radford (Aon) for benchmarking and Pave for real-time compensation data management and visualization.
  • Job Evaluation & Classification
  • Job Audits: Review job content and interview stakeholders to prepare accurate job descriptions reflecting current responsibilities and requirements.
  • Classification: Evaluate requests for new or revised positions to determine appropriate salary grade assignments and FLSA exemption status.
  • Organizational Design: Formulate recommendations regarding job revisions and internal organizational structures.
  • Administration & Compliance
  • Salary Adjustments: Review proposed pay changes for conformance to established company guidelines and policies.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Monitor existing and proposed statutory requirements (e.g., Department of Labor, Equal Pay acts) and recommend necessary courses of action to ensure compliance.
  • Problem Resolution: Recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related issues across various departments.
  • Special Projects (As Needed)
  • Perform special studies and provide recommendations on incentive compensation, annual bonus plans, sales commission structures, or equity/stock options.
  • Support the administration of both domestic and international compensation programs.
