About The Position

SummitWest Care is a mission-driven, non-profit home health agency seeking compassionate, reliable In-Home Caregivers to support clients with daily living activities in the Fruita, Mack, and Loma areas. Caregivers help local neighbors remain safe, independent, and comfortable at home, while building meaningful one-on-one relationships within their own community. No prior experience is required as paid training is provided. An experienced team of administrators, nurses, and fellow caregivers will provide support to ensure confidence and preparedness in the role. Current scheduling needs include availability on Mondays in the Fruita and Mack/Loma areas, with additional shifts potentially becoming available based on client needs and caregiver availability. Schedules are built gradually and may evolve. Most care hours occur during daytime and early evening, with no overnight shifts.

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
• Compassion, reliability, and a willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and homemaking services
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Handle laundry and dishes
• Prepare meals
• Assist with grocery shopping and errands
• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Offer mobility and ambulation support
• Assist with continence care
• Provide medication reminders
• Monitor vital signs (training provided; RN sign-off required)
• Perform safe transfers (training provided; RN sign-off required)
• Assist with medication (training provided; RN sign-off required)
• Perform additional tasks based on client care plans
