PRINCIPLE DUTIES: Provides companion services for seniors in the community. Companion services are non-skilled, non-nursing services that do not provide hands-on support. Duties may include the following types of responsibilities: Housekeeping Shopping and errands Meal preparation Laundry, ironing Pet care such as dog walking, litterbox care, and pet supply shopping Transportation and escorts to appointments and social events Companionship and entertainment Home organization and seasonal decorating Move-in and move-out assistance such as packing and unpacking Trash removal Communication and support related to sensory loss (low vision, hearing) Tech support such as setting up, trouble shooting and teaching hardware and software Cleaning and washing detail for golf carts and cars Handyman services such as hanging pictures, furniture assembly, and/or small repairs Other responsibilities as assigned by the IHS Director Benefits: Quick promotion to home health aide possible.
