About The Position
Starting Pay: $18.00-$22.00 Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00a-5:00p Location: Independent Living at Sagewood Who we are: Sagewood, Acacia, and Life Care Services (LCS) create living experiences that enhance the lives of seniors. What you'll do: Your role is to provide hands on care and assist residents as needed with their care and ADLs along with being a companion to the resident. Assists with helping to keep resident’s apartments tidy and other domestic duties as requested by the resident. By a companion and keep our seniors active while encouraging and respecting their independence.
Requirements
- Current Arizona Caregiver/Med Tech Certificate required.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and document care
- Someone who provides high levels of customer care with compassion and heart
- Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods of time
- Maintain safe and sanitary work conditions
- Flu vaccine required
Responsibilities
- Ambulation and transfer assistance
- Toileting, bathing, and grooming assistance
- Wake up services and dressing assistance
- Meal preparation
- Organizational help
- Ambulation support (pushing a wheel chair or accompanying for balance)
- Errands (grocery and household goods shopping, etc.)
- Companionship
- Schedule and medication reminders
- Maintain service plan tracking of all services performed
- Know and understand resident’s expectations and meet those expectations within community policy
- Inform Supervisor of any changing conditions that affect the resident’s ability to function independently
